How to choose the right type of mill?
There are several points to consider when choosing a pepper, salt or spice mill. In this section we will explain the main differences between each of the mechanisms used in the design of our mills. You will be better equipped to know what is best for you in the kitchen!
The mechanisms
Ceramic CrushGrind mechanism
This type of mechanism is very versatile, it is suitable for pepper, salt and spices. It is easy to adjust the grain size with this type of mechanism.
Filling
- Pull the top part of the mill up.
- Fill with salt, pepper or other spices of your choice.
- Put the top part back in place.
Adjustment
Turn the grey screw on the bottom of the grinder clockwise for a finer grind or counterclockwise for a coarser grind.
Benefits
The CrushGrind mechanism can be used for salt, pepper and even spices. It is easy to fill and clean. This high-quality, original Danish design comes with a 25-year warranty on the ceramic.
Cleaning
It is possible to simply grind a little coarse salt to dislodge small particles of spices, for example, that might be caught in the mechanism. For a thorough cleaning, unscrew the grey screw completely, remove the ceramic part and brush the inside of your mill with a small brush. You just have to put everything back in place!
